Waterloo Regional Police are investigating a single-vehicle crash in Kitchener that occurred Saturday afternoon on Fischer-Hallman Road near Greenbrook Drive. The vehicle struck a hydro pole, and the driver was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The collision caused a brief power outage in the Forest Heights and Westheights areas, which has since been resolved, according to Enova Power Corp.
Northbound lanes on Fischer-Hallman Road between Ottawa Street South and Greenbrook Drive remain closed, with no timeline for reopening. Due to power outage, temporary stop signs have been placed at:
- Fischer-Hallman Road & Highland Road West
- Fischer-Hallman Road & Queens Boulevard
- Fischer-Hallman Road & McGarry Drive
