A fatal single-vehicle crash occurred Saturday afternoon in Noelville, claiming the life of an 18-year-old woman. At around 2:30 p.m., police responded to a report of an SUV overturned and submerged in several feet of water on Mayer Road.
Two passengers managed to exit the vehicle, while a third was rescued and efforts to revive them were initiated. Unfortunately, the 18-year-old female front passenger was pronounced dead at the scene.
The Sudbury OPP, along with local emergency services, the fire department, and collision experts, are investigating the cause of the crash. Authorities are urging anyone with information or footage of the incident to come forward by contacting the OPP or Crime Stoppers.
