A 24-year-old woman was killed in a three-vehicle collision on Hamilton’s Lincoln M. Alexander Parkway on Wednesday evening.

Police say the crash occurred shortly before 7 p.m. near Upper James Street when an eastbound Honda Civic collided with a Buick Allure towing a utility trailer. Both vehicles lost control, sending the Civic across the median into the westbound lanes, where it was struck by an oncoming tractor-trailer.

The woman driving the Civic, who was the sole occupant, was pronounced dead at the scene. The two occupants of the Buick and the tractor-trailer driver were not injured.

Hamilton police are continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding the collision. The Lincoln M. Alexander Parkway reopened at approximately 7 a.m. Thursday after being closed overnight for the investigation.
