A 28-year-old woman suffered life-altering injuries after she was struck and pinned beneath a garbage truck in Toronto’s Fashion District Friday morning.
Emergency crews were called to the area of Adelaide Street and Brant Street around 9:45 a.m. The woman was trapped under the vehicle before being freed by responders.
She was taken to hospital by ambulance with injuries described as life-altering but not life-threatening. The circumstances surrounding the incident have not been released.
