A 65-year-old woman has died after being struck by two vehicles while crossing a street in Windsor on Wednesday night.
The incident occurred around 10 p.m. on Tecumseh Road East between Lincoln and Windermere roads, at a location that was not a signalized intersection. Police say the woman was hit by one vehicle while attempting to cross, and the force of the impact pushed her into the opposite lane, where she was struck by a second vehicle.
The first driver remained at the scene, while the second driver left before authorities arrived.
The woman was taken to hospital in critical condition but later died from her injuries.
Police closed the road for several hours to investigate and are asking anyone with information or video footage to come forward.
