A 33-year-old Brantford woman has been charged following a serious collision involving a car and a motorcycle on Saturday evening.

Brantford Police say the crash occurred around 8:15 p.m. at the intersection of Gilkison Street and Colborne Street West. The motorcyclist sustained life-threatening injuries and was transported to hospital for treatment.

Investigators reported observing signs of impairment while speaking with the driver of the car. After failing a roadside screening test and subsequent breath tests, the woman was arrested.

She now faces charges of impaired operation causing bodily harm, operation with a blood alcohol concentration above the legal limit causing bodily harm, and dangerous operation causing bodily harm.
