A 70-year-old woman from Wilmot Township has died following a two-vehicle collision in Wilmot Township on Saturday afternoon.
Waterloo Regional Police said emergency crews responded to the crash at the intersection of Bridge Street and Diamond Road at approximately 4:55 p.m. Investigators determined that a grey Toyota and a white Honda collided at the intersection.
The woman, who was driving the Toyota, was pronounced dead at the scene. The Honda’s 24-year-old driver from Kitchener and two passengers sustained non-life-threatening injuries and were taken to a local hospital. Another passenger suffered life-threatening injuries and was transported to a hospital outside the region.
The Waterloo Regional Police Service continues to investigate the collision and is asking anyone with information or dash camera footage to come forward.
