A 64-year-old woman has died after being struck by a dump truck in Ajax on Saturday afternoon.
Durham Regional Police said the collision occurred at approximately 3:50 p.m. as the truck was turning right from Harwood Avenue South onto Hunt Street.
Despite life-saving efforts by emergency responders, the pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene. The truck driver remained at the location following the collision, as investigators continue to examine the circumstances surrounding the fatal collision.
