OPP are investigating a fatal collision in Collingwood after a woman was struck and killed on Mountain Road late Wednesday night. Emergency crews responded just before 10 p.m.
The incident occurred in a rural stretch of road with no surveillance cameras, making witness information especially important. Police say the driver stayed at the scene and is cooperating. No identities have been released.
Mountain Road, between Tenth Line and Kells Crescent, is expected to stay closed for an extended period while investigators work. Drivers are being asked to use alternate routes.
Anyone with dashcam footage from the area around the time of the collision is urged to contact the OPP.
