A woman in her 50s was hospitalized Tuesday morning after being struck by a vehicle in Scarborough. The incident occurred shortly after 8 a.m. near the intersection of McCowan Road and Alton Towers Circle, just below Steeles Avenue East.
While first responders initially classified her injuries as critical, police later confirmed they are not life-threatening and is expected to make a recovery. The driver involved stayed at the scene following the collision.
The area was temporarily closed off to allow for the investigation but has since reopened to traffic.
