A multi-vehicle collision in Innisfil closed a section of Yonge Street for nearly three hours on Monday and sent one person to hospital.
The crash happened shortly after 11 a.m. and involved three vehicles, including a transport truck and an SUV. Police said a woman was taken to hospital with minor injuries as a precaution.
Fire officials reported that one person had to be extricated from a vehicle but later declined medical treatment. The condition of another person involved in the collision was not immediately available.
Yonge Street was closed between the 4th Line and 5th Line, as well as between Sideroad 10 and Sideroad 20, while emergency crews responded and investigators worked at the scene. The roadway reopened around 2 p.m., and the investigation is ongoing.
