A woman has died following a collision between an SUV and a transport truck in Burlington on Thursday morning.
The crash occurred shortly after 10 a.m. at the intersection of Britannia Road and Guelph Line. According to police, a black Lexus SUV heading west collided with a southbound red Kenworth gravel truck. A female passenger in the SUV was critically injured and later pronounced dead after being taken to a hospital outside the region.
The SUV’s driver sustained minor injuries and was treated locally, while the truck driver was unharmed. The cause of the collision is still under investigation.
