A woman in her 30s died after being struck by a car in Scarborough on Friday night. The incident occurred around 9 p.m. near the intersection of Bridlewood Boulevard and Sheppard Avenue East, east of Victoria Park Avenue.
The driver fled the scene, and the vehicle, described as a black compact car with windshield damage, has not been located. The woman was pronounced dead at the scene.
Update – On Thursday June 12th, Toronto police announced in a news release that the hit-and-run driver 24-year-old Arman Hakobyan was arrested earlier that day.
