A pedestrian was hospitalized following a collision in Scarborough on Wednesday evening.

Officers responded to the area of Pharmacy Avenue and St. Clair Avenue East shortly after 7:45 p.m. Paramedics transported a woman, believed to be in her 30s, to hospital with initially reported life-threatening injuries. Police later clarified that her injuries were serious but not life-threatening.

The driver stayed at the scene. Pharmacy Avenue was temporarily shut down between Dorine and Rosita crescents during the investigation but has since reopened. The cause of the incident remains under investigation.
