A 55-year-old woman suffered life-threatening injuries after being hit by an SUV in North York on Tuesday evening.
The collision occurred around 6:15 p.m. near Leslie Street and Bannatyne Drive. According to police, the woman was crossing Leslie Street in a marked crosswalk when she was struck by an SUV turning left from Bannatyne Drive onto northbound Leslie Street.
Emergency crews transported the woman to hospital with critical injuries. The driver remained at the scene and is cooperating with investigators as police investigate the crash.
