Ottawa police are seeking witnesses after a serious vehicle–pedestrian collision near the downtown area Tuesday evening. Emergency crews were called to the 600 block of Rideau Street at about 7:05 p.m., where they found a woman who had been struck by a vehicle.
Paramedics treated her at the scene before transporting her to hospital with serious injuries.
Investigators are urging anyone who saw the incident or has dashcam footage to contact the Ottawa Police Service Collision Investigation Unit.
Update – The woman succumbed to her injuries late February.
