A workplace incident in Toronto’s west end has resulted in the death of a worker after a fall from a garage roof.
Toronto police say emergency crews were called to the area near Bloor Street West and Ossington Avenue, close to Hepbourne Street, just before 11:15 a.m. on May 19.
The worker was pronounced dead at the scene following the fall. Paramedics also attended.
Ontario’s Ministry of Labour confirmed it was notified of the fatal incident at a Toronto work site and is now involved in the investigation.
Authorities have not released further details as the circumstances surrounding the fall remain under review.
