A man has been rushed to a trauma center with serious, potentially life-altering injuries after an incident at a construction site in downtown Toronto.
Emergency crews responded to the scene at 1 Bloor West, the location of an under-construction 87-storey building at Yonge and Bloor streets, on Monday afternoon. Toronto Fire reported difficulty reaching the injured worker initially.
Toronto Paramedic Services confirmed the worker was transported to a trauma center with severe injuries, though the exact cause of the injury remains unclear at this time. The situation is still under investigation.
