Emergency crews were called around 10:25 p.m. to the westbound collector lanes near McCowan Road after reports of a pedestrian-involved collision. Upon arrival, officers found the victim and confirmed the individual had died at the scene. Investigators say there is no indication of foul play.
The crash prompted the closure of all westbound collector lanes between Markham Road and McCowan Road for several hours while authorities conducted an investigation and reconstructed the incident. The roadway has since reopened.
