A youth cyclist was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries after colliding with a vehicle in Lively, part of Greater Sudbury, on Thursday afternoon.

Emergency crews responded to the scene on Anderson Drive near St. James Catholic Elementary School shortly before 3:15 p.m. Police determined the cyclist had exited a nearby trail and was unable to stop before striking the vehicle.

The injured youth was transported to hospital by paramedics for treatment. Following the investigation, Greater Sudbury Police confirmed that no charges will be laid in connection with the collision.
